Patrick Aebischer

Patrick Aebischer is the former president of EPFL, the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology Lausanne (2000 – 2016). He is a senior partner at +ND Capital and chairman of the Novartis Venture Fund. He also serves on the board of Nestlé, Logitech and Polypeptide Group and previously Lonza. He is the founder of 4 biotechnology companies. Patrick Aebischer is the vice-chairman of GESDA, the Geneva Science and Diplomacy Anticipator. Prior to joining EPFL Faculty, he was a Faculty member at the University of Lausanne and Brown University. He studied Medicine and Neurosciences at the University of Fribourg and Geneva.
